Join CineMe every last Tuesday of the month at the Tobacco Factory Bar, where we will be screening a selection of quality short films and give local creatives the opportunity to meet with other like minded individuals.
The CineMe February set-list includes 15 short films including animation, comedy, drama, documentary and music videos.
This months main film is Logorama, which won the Prix Kodak award at the 2009 Cannes Film Festival and the Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film. Logorama is a 16 minute French animated film, which depicts a stylised Los Angeles and is told through the use of more than 2,500 contemporary and historic logos and mascots.
Other film highlights include the excellent 2012 Disney black and white animation Paperman (nominated for an Academy Award); Martin Leo Hardy's Jospeh Kite: An ending, the story of a man who allows his life to slip away; a series of commercials made by Christopher Hewitt, who is a talented photographer and the clever japanese animation Paper War, which was recommended by Vimeo.
We will also be screening a selection of local short films and some of the filmmakers will be on hand to introduce their work.
Please note that the film programme will start at 8pm (so please arrive on time), and will last at around 100 minutes with a short interval.
