The first CineMe short film event of 2013 and a platform for short filmmakers and creatives to showcase their films, animations and documentaries to an audience.

January's CineMe Shorts includes the main presentation of motion comic animated short film Fubar Redux, including a talk with its director Hasraf Dulull. Fubar Redux is an epic story of an on-going political war told in an alternate reality with cats and dogs. The finished animation was released in March 2012 and has gone on to win numerous awards and critical acclaim from Vimeo, Digital Motion Comics and Daily Motion.

Hasraf will be talking about the making of the film, how it was financed, its reception and his work as a visual effects supervisor in the motion picture industry, working on Hollywood feature films such as The Dark Knight, Hellboy 2, Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time and The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian.

CineMe will also be screening a selection of short film dramas, comedies and music videos made by Bristol creatives. This includes Martin Hall's comedy Happy Anniversary; ********ord's Tidal about a young aerialist with a bright future, who is unknowingly being consumed by the re-appearence of a twisted person from her past; Stephanie Wessell's monlogue Gerald's Best Client, which has recently been nominated for best screenplay at the Underwired festival; a trilogy of fairytale inspired shorts made by CineMe filmmaker of the month Joanna Beard; music videos from Cloud 12 and Bristol's Hanover Pictures, plus other short film gems.

Takes place in the 'Green Room' at The Tobacco Factory Bar on Tuesday, January 29th, 2013 at 8PM.
