A Bristol-based 'mummy blogger' is currently challenging heavyweight parenting experts Jo Frost (SuperNanny) and Gina Ford in the Amazon Kindle Parenting Charts with her e-book 'The Little Book of motherventing'.

Frances Lewis recently self-published her blog motherventing (subtitled 'Taking the fluffy aspects of parenting and totally sh***ing all over them') which regularly received 10,000+ views a month, and her e-book is currently in the Amazon Parenting Top 100, and rapidly gaining readers following a series of rave reviews through social media.

@motherventing, as she is also known, has a dedicated following of over 3100 on Twitter based on her daily life as a single mother of a two year-old, and her e-book covers her life as a parent as well as the emotional ups and downs she experienced during her 17 months of blogging.

The Little Book of motherventing is a compendium of the best posts from her blog so expect humour, tragedy, ranting, anecdotes, heartfelt confessions, naked photos, gin appreciation, spaff, parenting tips, and plenty of swearing. Some of the content is not for the faint-hearted.

The Little Book of motherventing is written with honesty, candour, and incredible humour. Some of it is heart-achingly sad while lots is gut-wrenchingly funny, as she discusses midwives, smug parents, soft play centres, sex, and many other aspects of parenting, as well as her own emotional issues, money problems and relationship breakdown. She tells a story so personal and funny, written chronologically, that you feel what she's going through in real time and can't help but laugh and cry along with her.

It's educational (for example, you will learn exactly what the word 'spaff' means), brutally funny and brilliant. An incredible example of a talent which deserves higher recognition and a successful blog to book transition which not many manage well in such a competitive environment.

Details of the e-book are available on Amazon.co.uk - just search for motherventing
