Saturday, November 07, 2009, 07:00

Weston College is supporting the annual Colleges Week celebration by holding an open evening next week.

All campuses will welcome visitors including the Knightstone Campus on Knightstone Road, the University Campus on Loxton Road and the Multiskills Centre on Oldmixon Crescent.

Doors open to the public on November 12 for people to discuss their future career options with staff.

Dr Paul Phillips. Principal and Chief Executive, said: "Our open evenings are the perfect opportunity for prospective students of all ages to find out about all our courses including A levels, work-related qualifications, diplomas, apprenticeships, higher education courses, leisure courses and training for employers.

"It's also an ideal opportunity for you to view our excellent facilities, state-of-the-art campuses and meet our friendly and welcoming staff."

Colleges Week is organised by the Association of Colleges and the Department for Business, Innovation & Skills (BIS) and is a celebration of the opportunities colleges create for individuals, businesses and Britain.

A range of college and community events will take place across the country to demonstrate the integral role colleges play in their communities.
