Organisers of the South West trials for the Flora London Mini Marathon have postponed Saturday's event.

The event was due to be held in Bitton, but the heavy snow and the forecast of further bad weather over the weekend meant the decision was taken to call off the race.

County team managers are now trying to find a new date for the event with Saturday, March 14 mooted as a possibility. Using the South West Schools' Championships, due to be staged on Taunton racecourse on Saturday, February 28, has also been suggested.
