Paulton snap up striker Knighton

Friday, February 06, 2009, 21:17

Paulton Rovers manager Andy Jones has strengthened his squad ahead of today's home game against Burnham by signing striker Tom Knighton from Premier Division Tiverton Town.

"I tried to sign Tom at the start of the season but Tiverton would not let him go and when I saw they had resigned Jamie Mudge from Dorchester Town to partner Phil Walsh up front I went in for him again", Jones said.

"With Dave Burborough out for the season with a hip injury and Ricky Hulbert also injured, I desperately needed to sign a striker to boost our bid to get back into play off race".
