Drama at old school as pupils return to meet stars of Casualty

Wednesday, September 30, 2009, 07:00

Pupils returned to their old school to meet the cast of Casualty and go behind the scenes of the Bristol-made TV series.

The actors and film crew were using the former Rose Hill independent school buildings in Alderley, near Wotton-under-Edge, for an episode of the BBC hospital drama, which will be broadcast in January. The premises were vacated when the school merged with Querns Westonbirt preparatory school to create Rose Hill Westonbirt School, based near the famous arboretum.

A group of girls who used to have lessons in Alderley were able to watch the director and crew prepare and film scenes and watch the actors have their make-up applied.

They later met some of the cast and had their pictures taken with them.
