Brooker's Bristol City exit confirmed

Wednesday, January 28, 2009, 21:40

Steve Brooker has finally completed his anticipated move from Bristol City to Doncaster Rovers.

The 27-year-old striker has signed a two-and-a-half-year contract after passing a medical examination at the Keepmoat Stadium.

City have agreed an undisclosed fee and will receive a modest payment up front. This could eventually rise to £100,000 based on appearances.

Johnson said: "It's good for Steve, it's good for Doncaster and it's good for us.

"I couldn't offer Steve anything here after the end of this season and it was well documented that he wanted a move north.

"I'm pleased for him that the deal has gone through and I hope things turn out well for him at Doncaster."
