Bristol club aims to help members find work

Saturday, October 31, 2009, 07:00

A new job club is launching in St Jude's in November.

The club will aim to help local residents gain qualifications and get jobs, and will work with people already in employment to help them improve their basic skills.

It will start on November 15 at 50 Wade Street, and will run on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. It is being run by Citywide Learning and Community Services, a community initiative supporting the delivery of education, training, and employment opportunities for residents in the area.

The Job Club and other support activities are funded by Bristol City Council.

Citywide will also enlist support from other agencies to provide activities including career advice and CV help.
