Bristol residents to hold neighbourhood celebration

Thursday, October 01, 2009, 07:00

Residents and businesses in Easton will join together on Saturday to celebrate all that's good about their neighbourhood.

The fourth Stapleton Road Street Fair is free and one of Bristol's biggest street parties.

The day is open to all and includes two stages with live music and performances; stalls; poetry; street gardening; a variety of foods; sports and games; art and music workshops, plus wacky bikes and a cycle-powered sound system.

Visitors can enjoy music from RSVP, El Patio Primo, Katapulto, The Great Eskape and Balance Greenhouse.

On the day, Stapleton Road will be closed to traffic from Clifton Place to Trinity Road, from 10am to 8pm.

The fair is organised by the Love Easton partnership and Bristol City Council Neighbourhood Arts Team, and is supported by Bristol City Council's Community Festival Fund and Neighbourhood Arts.
