You don't need to spend a fortune when you go out
I HAVE just read the letter fromJacqueline, Sarah and Lauren Hayward, who thoroughly enjoyed the value-for-money, top-quality show Buddy at the Hippodrome this week ("Hippodrome show just sensational", Open Lines, February 12).
In the letter it is mentioned that during the credit crunch it was good not to have to spend a fortune to have a good time out.

This is so true and I am more than pleased to say that I have bought tickets for the Gang Show next week. I went in 2007 with a few friends from work as they had been before and had a really great time.
We went to a local restaurant that was doing a theatre meal deal, popped into Cast for a pre-show drink, then found our seats in good time and enjoyed the whole show from start to finish.
I was pleased to read it was being staged during half-term as I often hear "I'm boooored" from the two children I look after in the holidays.
So this half-term we are off to the Wednesday matinee, and will be home in time for tea.
Having read through the listing of shows at the theatre this year, it can pretty much be guaranteed that this is one of the cheapest shows that will be there and I cannot commend the Post enough for supporting the "Gang" through everything this year.
Thank you to the Post, and good luck to everyone in the show!
Heather Franklin, Bristol.
