“I would think its a seasonal thing, they open during the summer months when the parks are at thier busiest, they are not going to pay staff to do nothing in the winter.”

“Id suspect seasonal but ive used the ones at Blaise, Oldbury and Ashton Court in the winter months before. On a weekend they should surely be open. As long as its not raining, these places are packed and do a good trade i thought.”

“This is because the company behind the cafe Diamond Catering went bust back in October 2011. The council would have been owed money in rent and rates ect so I am guessing that due to legal complications they would not be able to re-let it yet until everything is sorted with the failed Diamond Catering company.

Blaise is not the only park cafe to have been closed as this company was running a number of council park sites. All of which have shut.”

“Becuase it's the winter months, the council aren't rushing to have these open in a hurry but they are hoping to have everything in place and have these all open again by the start of the season in April.”

“i worked in one of these cafes and the reason why they have closed is because diamond catering went into liquidization as they owed the council money and one of the bosses spent the money.”
