One day at a time
NIGHT number two of ITV1's bafflingly titled For One Night Only was a vast improvement on the previous Sunday's offering.
The comics were funny (particularly Mark Watson and his gag about I Can't Believe It's Not Butter), the guest West End musical cast were from the great West Side Story, and even the Hungarian acrobat rolling around the stage in a giant hamster wheel while a world-class violinist fiddled was acceptable variety.

Super-cool crooner Michael Buble, pictured, was sensational despite being handicapped by the presence of co-host Denise van Outen, who asked whether she could sing a duet with him.
"It will be a pleasure and a contractual obligation," he replied. Damn small print.
I can't help but wonder though how series sponsors Sekonda are reacting to the three-night For One Night Only.
Running for two nights longer than it should, it's surely the most inaccurate case of time-keeping ever.
