2002: John Crawley scored an unbeaten 223 on his Hampshire debut against Kent at Canterbury.

2006: Bulgaria international midfielder Stilyan Petrov submitted a written transfer request to Celtic, which was rejected. He later joined Aston Villa.

2007: Watford were relegated from the Premiership after drawing 1-1 with Manchester City.
