Dorchester Town owner and chairman Eddie Mitchell has ordered further cutbacks at the Jewson Stadium.

Earlier this month, the Magpies squad became free agents after Mitchell slashed wages by 30 per cent in a cost-cutting exercise.

In his latest move, Mitchell has instructed team manager Shaun Brooks to axe up to four of his playing staff.

The news was delivered to the Dorchester players in the dressing room at Church Road after Tuesday's 2-1 defeat at Hayes and Yeading.

The identity of the players expected to leave the Magpies has not yet been revealed, although Dorchester Town fans will be fearing that the departure of some of their key players will spark a mass exodus.
