Police warn of theft risk at Bristol car parks

Underground car parks are being targeted by calculating thieves, Avon and Somerset police have warned.

The force is warning businesses in the city with enclosed car parks to be on their guard following a number of thefts.

Offenders have been seen on CCTV waiting for the gates to open before slipping inside and waiting for vehicles to leave to make their exit.

Five thefts of this nature were reported within a matter of days in the Redcliff Street, Temple Quay, area of the city.

Anyone who spots someone trespassing in private car parks should contact the police immediately.
