Police release pictures in hunt for gang who stole boys' bikes from station
British Transport Police (BTP) have released the CCTV images as they try to get to the bottom of the crime in which four boys, aged 12 to 15, had their bikes stolen by a gang.
The victims boarded the late-running 5.10pm train at Western-super-Mare on October 10 and, during the journey, a group of older teenage boys, aged around 16 to 19, showed an interest in their bikes.
Both groups left the train at Parson Street shortly before 6pm. The older youths then threatened the four victims and demanded they hand over their bikes. Detective Constable Richard Day said: "The thieves took the bikes, ran up the stairs to exit the station and made off towards Hartcliffe Way.
"Officers from Avon and Somerset police arrived on the scene first and carried out a search of the area but the youths were not located."
Anyone who knows the people in the pictures should call BTP on 0800 405040, quoting log 377 of 10/10/2009.
