Bristol woman attacked on doorstep

A woman was violently attacked and robbed as she arrived at her home in St John's Lane, Bedminster.

The 20-year-old victim needed hospital treatment for facial injuries after a man approached her asking for directions, then forced his way into her home and attacker her at about 5.30pm on Tuesday.

The robber was white, in his 30's and around 6ft 1in tall. He had long, light brown hair, dark eyes and a small face, and spoke with a local accent. He was wearing a leather type jacket with heavy work boots.
