Will Penny's six wickets for six runs ensured leaders Old Bristolians Westbury maintained their 100 per cent record with a 91-run win against Timsbury in Bristol & North Somerset.

The Failand-based side made 149-9, with opener Dan Hayward hitting a half-century.

Bristolians defended that small total superbly and skittled out Timsbury inside 27.2 overs. Gareth Griffiths returned figures of 3-15.

Second-placed Claverham are on the same points as Bristolians after thrashing Bishopston by 94 runs.

Opener Richard Horton followed up last week's 96 with an unbeaten 109 from 130 balls, including 18 fours.

Horton enjoyed a 191-run second-wicket partnership with Paul Bird (86 from 111 balls, including 11 fours and two sixes) as Claverham made 235-4.

Mark Coombes made 40 not out for strugglers Bishopston, with Claverham's bowlers Henry Isack, Lloyd Richardson, Roger Hooper and James Downes sharing the wickets between them.

Martin Bowyer took 6-29 and hit 35 but finished on the losing side as Shirehampton were defeated by 24 runs against Chipping Sodbury.

Sodbury defended 149 well, with Richard Wood and Jamie Wakefield both taking three wickets.

Frenchay were beaten for the second week running after suffering a batting collapse against Congresbury.

Despite skipper Mansoor Khan's 41 not out, the Bristol side's top order struggled against Stephen Baker (5-34) before Neil Frost (3-31) finished off the tail.

Opener Tim Baker hit 48 before Congresbury lost five wickets, but still knocked off the winning runs.

In Bristol & Somerset, Chris Munden hit 100 and took the important wicket of former Gloucestershire skipper Tim Hancock (four) as Brislington secured a 20-run win against Clevedon.

Munden's hundred came in 130 balls, for Brislington to finish on 222-7. John Bachelor replied with 60 before Clevedon were skittled.

Pat Bailey claimed 7-37 as Bedminster clinched their first win in the division after beating Midsomer Norton by seven wickets.

Leaders Lansdown were beaten for the first time this summer when they were routed by 122 runs against third-placed Ashcott & Shapwick.

After deciding to bat first, Ashcott were indebted to Nayan Karmarker's 73 not out in their total of 255-7.

Chris Barker (38) offered some resistance, but Lansdown struggled with the bat.

Winterbourne are still looking for their maiden win of the summer after losing by 42 runs against Stapleton.

Tom Wright hit 79 and took 5-28 to guide Minehead to a 24-run win over North Perrott.

Minehead were all out for 180 as Greg Kennis and Chris Boundy claimed 4-27 and 3-34 respectively.

But, despite the top order making good starts, including opener Tom Briggs' 45, Perrott struggled with the bat.

Hambrook hung on for a one-wicket win against Nailsea.

Nailsea made 179-6 thanks to their top order of Russell Baker (67), Danny Woollard (27) and Gareth Dan (32).

Hambrook, without anyone making any decent scores, secured the win with one ball left. Richard Morris took 4-49.

James Hancox took 5-16 in Rockhampton's si-wicket victory over Lydney in Gloucester/Wiltshire.
