Tuesday, November 18, 2008, 14:04

FINANCIAL grants are now available to help young people in Weston-super-Mare and surrounding villages.

Weston Youth Trust awards grants to young people aged 11 to 25 who may be in economic or social need.

The aim is to provide opportunities for educational, recreational or leisure activities to youngsters.

The grants could help young people participate in programmes of interest, develop a skill or become involved in projects that will develop their understanding of themselves and human relationships.

Weston Youth Trust is keen to receive applications for funding from young people who fit their criteria.

Grants will be considered for residents in Weston and the parishes of Banwell, Blagdon, Bleadon, Burrington, Butcombe, Churchill, Congresbury, Hutton, Kewstoke, Kingston Seymour, Locking, Loxton, Puxton, Kenn, Sandford, St Georges, Wick St Lawrence, Wrington and Winscombe.

Applications must include a brief outline of the project's aim, including dates and venues, total cost and other sources of funding. They can be sent to Trust Secretary Ken Hindle, 2 St Johns Road, Burnham-on-Sea, TA8 2AX.
