Congresbury garden centre's hard work blossoms into award

A Congresbury garden centre has scooped a top gong in a national retail award.

Cadbury Garden and Leisure beat off fierce competition to win silver at the Britain's Best Retailer Awards 2009.

The awards recognise the hard work and professionalism of retailers in the housewares, DIY and garden sectors.

Cadbury Garden and Leisure managing director, Paul Butchers, said: "From plant expertise, stunning displays, kids clubs and touch screen information points to pets and aquatics, customer service has been our first priority."

Britain's Best Retailer Awards spokesman Colin Petty said: "I think all the staff have every right to feel proud of themselves."
