Caddick stars for Clevedon
The Somerset fast bowler, who had not taken a single wicket in three previous matches for the Seasiders, finished with 8-34 off 12.5 overs as Ashcott, replying to 220-8, collapsed to 84 all out.
Clevedon, who climb to third, were thankful to two partnerships. Former Gloucestershire skipper Tim Hancock (40) and Graham Trenaman (19) put on 64 for the first wicket, while Ricky Joseph (75 off 96 balls, including four fours) and Mike Hanley (34) shared a 91-run stand for the sixth wicket.
Brislington are the new leaders after they beat bottom side Winterbourne by 81 runs.
Brislington made 256-4 thanks to opener Richard Ollis' maiden century of the summer. He hit 100 off 158 balls, including 16 fours, and was well supported by Geoff Iles (40), Chris Munden (22), Craig Stock (25) and Alex Tryfanos (25).
Winterbourne made an awful start and were 8-3. Jack Dempsey (36) steadied the ship before they finished on 175. Courtney Forrest took 5-36.
Minehead secured one of the highest totals of the summer when they made 428-5 against Lansdown thanks to Gary Bennett (153), Tom Wright (111) and Andrew Woodward (51 not out). Lansdown reached 168 in reply, with Wright claiming 4-15.
Captain James Carter clinched 5-39 as Bedminster beat Stapleton by five wickets. Stapleton made 141, Andrew Chidgey top-scoring with 35, but Bedminster openers Garreth Elphick (65) and George Brimble (26) put on 76 to put their side on the road to victory.
Midsomer Norton cruised to a 157-run victory against North Perrott, who made only 139 in reply to 296.
For Norton, Dean Clifton (101) and Tom Webb (33) put on 108 for the first wicket before Jason Moule cracked 94 not out. Dean van Blerk made 61 but Joel Tratt (24) was the only other Perrott player to reach double figures. Andrew Cox took 4-40.
In Bristol & North Somerset, Claverham lost for the first time this summer when Congresbury beat the Yatton-based side by eight wickets.
But they remain top after second-placed Old Bristolians (122) were stunned in a five-wicket defeat by Chipping Sodbury (124-5).
Against Congresbury, who are now second, Claverham batted first and were grateful to Paul Bird (47) and Damien Devanny (85), who put on 112 for the fourth wicket.
But, after Devanny departed on 205-5, the next five wickets fell with Claverham making only 20 more runs. Danny Bullock took 5-19.
After losing an early wicket, Congresbury cruised home thanks to Keiran Palmer (76), Tim Baker (61 not out) and Michael Fisher (54 not out).
Fourth-placed Frenchay (194) lost by 12 runs against Shirehampton (206-8).
Timsbury remain bottom after losing by four wickets against Hambrook. Timsbury's Mark Sage (63 off 105) and Dave Pippett (88 off 125) shared a first-wicket partnership of 142, but Ryan Edwards (49) and Rob Jeffery (47) ensured Hambrook secured the win for the loss of six wickets.
Second-from-bottom Bishopston continue to struggle after they were beaten by five wickets against Nailsea.
Stuart Luff (52) and Graham Clarkson (50) put on 103 for the first wicket but Bishopston's other players struggled with the bat and they were all out for 154. Russell Baker took 5-23 and Peter Hardcastle 3-29.
Nailsea made 159-5 in reply, with Danny Wollard (51) and Baker (35) sharing a 91-run first-wicket stand to set them on the way to victory.
In the Glos/Wilts Division, Rockhampton lost by 20 runs to Lechlade, while Marshfield were beaten by five wickets by Swindon.
