Adrian Edmondson helps celebrate 10 years at St George's
The star of Bottom and The Young Ones will cut the first slice of a giant birthday cake to mark the start of the venue's next decade.
The cake has been commissioned in the shape of St George's, right down to the newly-erected tenth anniversary banners that have gone up at the front of the building. It is being produced by Clifton Cakes.
The director of St George's, Suzanne Rolt, said: "I can't believe how quickly time has passed.
"Ten years ago I had a mop in hand as we got stuck into major renovations and a total revamp of the building.
"A new stage, new seating, a complete repaint and a brand new name: St George's Bristol was born.
"Now, a decade later, I'm so proud to see how far we've come, with more concerts than ever on offer and more and more people coming through the doors.
"I can only hope the next ten years will be just as successful."
Friends and long-time supporters of the venue have been invited to celebrate the teh-year anniversary and will join in toasting St George's with champagne and birthday cake.
After cutting the first slice, Adrian Edmondson's band, The Bad Shepherds, will play a gig in the hall from 8pm.
