CHILDREN at St Barnabas Primary staged a production of The Pied Piper of Hamelin for an audience of more than 100 parents and friends.

About 30 members of the drama club also performed the play for fellow pupils at the school in Albany Road, Montpelier.

The lead parts were taken by Year 6 children Ella Falk, Moses Macklenzie, Reuben Engols and Dineka Tulloch.

Learning mentor Helen Amos said the children had worked very hard on the show, making scenery, rehearsing and learning lines.

"They even came in for a day in the holidays," she said. "Parents have been very supportive too."
