Last chance to enter Bristol's Next Top Model competition

Thursday, June 25, 2009, 07:00

Bristol's best looking men and women are being urged not to miss their last chance to enter a competition that cold land them a year's modelling contract – and a chance of fame.

A final photo shoot takes place this weekend for Bristol's Next Top Model, a competition to find one guy and one girl and give them a contract with Bristol model agency Mustard Models.

All you need to do is fill out an entry form, published in the paper, and take it along to one of this weekend's sessions, which are now all being held at a single venue, The Mall Bristol shopping centre in Broadmead, on Saturday and Sunday.

You will get your photo taken by a professional photographer, and then you will get the chance to come back and choose what you think is the best shot.

Saturday's session takes place from 10am until 4pm and on Sunday the times are 11am-4pm.

Evening Post advertisement director Fiona Stoddart said: "Bristol's Next Top Model has had a great start and we're hoping for even more people to turn up at the next two photo shoots at the end of this month.

"Choosing one guy and one girl is going to be a tough challenge for our judges, but the competition will offer two people the opportunity to explore a career in modelling and so a challenge that will be taken seriously.

"If you think you've got what it takes, get yourself down here for the photo shoots. Whether you win or not, it will definitely be a lot of fun, so come and have a go."

Everyone who enters will make it into a supplement in the Post in July and readers will be able to vote for their favourite.

Entrants will then be whittled down to a top 40, half chosen by readers and half by a panel of judges.

In August, there will be a fashion show to choose a shortlist of 16 hopefuls, who will then have their own photo shoots around Bristol before a grand final in September.

As well as a modelling contract, the winners will get an initial photo shoot with Mustard Model Agency, and get help developing a professional portfolio and ongoing support and advice.
