SWINDON TOWN boss Maurice Malpas believes his side are finally becoming harder to beat away from the County Ground after picking up a point at Hereford last night.

Hereford striker Bradley Hudson-Odoi cancelled out a first-half opener from Town defender Jerel Ifil.

Malpas' side dominated the match for long periods and had chances to kill the game as a contest before the hour mark, which would have secured a third away victory on the road inside six days.

He said: "We are disappointed not to win the game because I felt we deserved it.

"We had all the chances and Hereford just managed one attempt at goal and they scored from it.

"It shows how far we have come when we say we are disappointed not to win away, because our past history suggests we should be delighted to get anything.

"We are beginning to realise that we need to keep our shape and discipline."

Hereford chief Graham Turner was quick to praise his players after their fightback.

"Swindon caused us one or two problems but equally I thought we showed a lot of resilience and thoroughly deserved the point," said Turner.

"It took one or two good saves from our goalkeeper Darren Randolph at key times.

"But I thought we rallied well because the goal was a real body blow to us.

"It was difficult for us to play the football that we had done against Crewe but Swindon had done their homework and made it difficult for us. So I think it was a good point for us."
