It is part of the Gorillas In The Brist Appeal launched by Daniel James, of Minehead, to buy special bikes for Jake and Theo Shopland, four, who suffer with cerebral palsy.

Jake and Theo were treated at Bristol Children's Hospital and Mr James' efforts have been so successful the bikes have already been purchased for the youngsters.

It means any additional money raised on the night in Clifton will go directly to the hospital instead.

The evening kicks off at 7.30pm with raffle prizes including spa days, signed merchandise, a round of golf for four, 50 cupcakes, a family pass to Butlins, a hotel break, and a dinner for two – as well as the first prize – the gorilla painted by Mr James himself. Another gorilla will be available to bid for at auction.

Mr James said: "I want to raise as much extra money as possible for Bristol Children's Hospital, who do such a great job.

"This organisation helps and affects so many families in our local area so warrants the help from the community.

"There is also a gorilla in the auction so if you don't win the raffle don't panic, a gorilla could still be going home with you."

Tickets are £15 each which includes, food and live music while raffle tickets cost £2.50 each.
