Bristol City Academy products Frankie Artus and Tristan Plummer have agreed one-month loan deals with Chesterfield and Gillingham respectively.

Plummer is expected to make his Gills debut in tomorrow's League One clash with Colchester United at the Priestfield Stadium, unable to break into the first-team squad at Ashton Gate and out of contract at the end of the season.

He spent two months on loan at League Two Hereford United earlier in the season and Johnson said: "Playing in League One will provide him with the kind of challenge he needs. It's a good move all round."

Midfielder Artus travelled to Chesterfield yesterday and is expected to feature in the League Two club's squad for tomorrow's game at Northampton.

The Bristolian, who spent two months on loan at Cheltenham Town between August and October, is also out of contract at Ashton Gate in the summer.
