Liberal Democrat Leader Nick Clegg will visit Bristol later this month for a free question and answer session at the Colston Hall.

It will be held on Monday, October 26, starting at 6.30pm.

Mr Clegg said: "I am looking forward to having a discussion with the people of Bristol about problems they are facing and how together we can solve them.

"Since becoming leader of the Liberal Democrats I have travelled up and down the country listening to the concerns of thousands of people and families.

"It is now more important than ever for politicians to get out of Westminster and engage with people about how to rebuild our economy and restore trust in politics."

Bristol West Lib Dem MP Stephen Williams who will chair the meeting, said: "More and more people have said how impressed they have been with the way that Nick and the Lib Dems have made a mark on the recent political agenda – on the Gurkhas, on Speaker Martin, on MP expenses, on Trident and on Afghanistan.

"He is coming to Bristol because the recent election results have shown it is a new bastion of the Liberal Democrats in the West Country.

"He wants to get a handle on the issues that matter to Bristol – and I am sure that local residents will relish the opportunity to come forward with their questions and concerns."

Anyone who wants to attend should send their name and address to meet@nickclegg.com or phone 942 8773.
