There is no chance of the kangaroo becoming extinct
AS an Australian living in Bristol, I was amazed to read that Justin Kerswell fully understands the kangaroo situation in Australia based on what he obviously read off the worldwide web.
In response to "Boycott this cruel trade in meat", yes, the information that he displayed in the Western Daily Press was accurate, with mass culling in Australia taking place, not for their skin or meat, but purely because they are a pest to farmers and are overpopulating every national park in the country which is having a knock-on effect to the rest of the eco-system.

With more than five times more kangaroos in Australia than humans, there is no chance of extinction. Do you really think the Australian Government would ever risk the extinction of our national icon and a member of our coat of arms to increase our exports?
I would encourage Mr Kerswell and the rest of the Viva! team to properly research their next campaign and not to force their ideas on to other people based on false information from a single viewpoint.

“God or whatever she is called preserve us from the Greens and other mis-informed conservationists like Justin Kerswell. Any old passing bandwaggon it'll do, don't matter where it's going or how accurately it's being driven.”

“I've just heard they've been having the rain they desperately need in parts of Victoria that will hopefully replenish the storage areas. . Take no notice of Mr.Kerswell and Viva Helen, we understand the problem you've been having. . Keep well, and sorry about your Medal tally.(lol). . Best Charles”

“As a resident of Canberra I was interested to read the articles by Justin Kerswell and Patrick Cape on the recent culling of Kangaroos in Australia. Hundreds of kangaroos are literally at my back fence, the victims of the severe drought that we have been experiencing for some years now in NSW & ACT.
The kangaroo population needs to be controlled for the reasons that Patrick Cape mentions in his article.
The recent culling that took place in Canberra was controlled and humanly carried out with no pain or distress to the kangaroos.
It is critical for our livestock that the population of kangaroos is controlled especially in the drought stricken areas of Australia.”
