“They are a credit to themselves and SGS College. The employers and industry trainers have been impressed by the student’s attitude and commitment to their chosen careers.

“The aviation industry is clearly thriving out of Bristol Airport and the employment results demonstrate that if students work hard enough they can achieve their dreams.”

Student, Anna Phippen, 17, from Henleaze, said: “Studying aviation industry has been an interesting and brilliant opportunity to understand what it will be like and what it takes to be cabin crew and airport staff.

“It’s great to have teachers who have worked or still are working in the industry because when asking questions the answers are relevant and up to date knowledge.

“I personally have really benefited from putting theory into practice from having people coming into college to talk about aviation first aid, visiting the fire station and practicing survival skills in water.

“It brings the information we have learnt to life making it easier to understand and explain in are coursework.

“From these visits it has also enhance my CV as it shows I have experienced what I will do in my cabin crew training and it gives me the opportunity to talk about how I dealt with and reacted in the situations at the interview.”
