Video: Inside Cinema de Luxe at Cabot Circus

A major part of Bristol's new Cabot Circus shopping centre is the Cinema de Luxe.

Each room features wall-to-wall screens and custom-designed, deep-cushioned, rocking recliner seats arranged in a stadium style to ensure cinema-goers an unobstructed view of the screen.

In pitch black, apart from hand rails, the film experience is also designed to be the best on offer. All screens feature Dolby Digital Sound and fully digital, 3D projection.

Guests can also enjoy the Directors' Hall, a premium auditorium featuring extra-wide leather 'loveseats' with adjustable tables, reserved seating, and exclusive access to the Directors' Lounge, where guests can indulge in dinner and drinks before or after the movie.

With entrees, appetisers and cocktails on the menu, the lounge is a far cry from pick'n'mix and adds a touch of class to the evening.

Even with floors being laid, fire alarms tested and lampshades fitted, the cinema has the wow factor that can only increase once the finishing touches are complete.

UK theatre manager Karen Fox said: "From here you can book seats in the Directors' Hall, order a taxi home, anything the guest requires really.

"People can pop in for a coffee whilst shopping or even come for lunch without necessarily going to watch a film. For most people going to the cinema is a treat, but this is pure indulgence."

Around the standard cinemas are plush sofas and waiting areas all designed to add to the feel of luxury.

Ms Fox said: "These 11 auditoria are called standard, but I would call them business class."
