Wasps confirm signing of Lemi from Bristol Rugby

Wednesday, May 20, 2009, 07:00

Wasps have confirmed the signing of former Bristol Rugby star David Lemi, 27, on a two-year deal.

The Samoan winger, who scored 45 tries in 84 Bristol Rugby appearances over four seasons, was one of four new signings announced by the High Wycombe club yesterday.

"To join a club of Wasps' calibre now is perfect timing for my developing career," said Lemi, whose solo effort against Bath was recently voted the Guinness Premiership try of the season.

"I know it will pose challenges for me to prove myself worthy of playing alongside some of the world's top players."
