Tytherington Rocks let victory slip away

Sunday, December 14, 2008, 22:34

In Hellenic League Division One West, the only game to beat the wet weather was Tytherington Rocks' home game against Clanfield, which the visitors won 3-2 after twice coming from a goal down.

After a goalless opening half, Tytherington took the lead two minutes after the restart with a goal from Mark Greenland.

Dan Bishop equalised in the 55th minute, but Tytherington quickly regained the lead when a good run Scott Wooder created the opening for Ollie Clark to score from his cross.

However, with 15 minutes left, Bradley Bryant's header made it 2-2.

Both sides went close to regaining the led in the closing minutes, but it was Clanfield who grabbed the winner when Bishop netted from close range at the far post.
