Forest Green Rovers out to shock Stevenage

Friday, February 20, 2009, 21:58

Forest Green Rovers will be looking for a shock result at Stevenage Borough – a side who look certain to be involved in the end of season Blue Square Premier division play-offs – to reach the semi-finals of the FA Trophy.

There is £8,000 for the winners but Jim Harvey's side will be without Lee Ayres and Dave Brown, who are both cup tied, while defender Darren Jones, although back in training after his calf injury, will not be risked in case he suffered a reaction.

Club skipper John Hardiker is in contention to start. Hardiker marked his return to first team action after a three month lay-off with a knee injury with two goals in Forest Green's 3-0 victory over Northwich Victoria in midweek.

"We'll certainly be going all out to provide a shock result to reach the semi finals," Harvey said.
