Bristol Rugby land new sponsors

Thursday, June 11, 2009, 07:00

Bristol Rugby have announced two new partner sponsors for next year's campaign in the newly-named Championship.

Bristol-based office printer suppliers Peninsula have agreed a three-year deal with the club.

And Bristol-based Thorne Security, the club's former tickets sponsors, have agreed to add their name to the club shirt over the next three years in addition to the main shirt sponsor for next season which is yet to be revealed.

Bristol's chief executive Steve Gorvett said: "As a team, we've been working on building and sustaining successful relationships with businesses in Bristol.

"Thorne Security have continued to show their dedication to Bristol Rugby by signing a new three-year deal as partner sponsor.

"We value the support from Peninsula and Thorne and look forward to working with them over the next three seasons."

Peninsula's managing director and co-founder Andy Twemlow said: "Bristol Rugby Club is facing an exciting period of change and we look forward to seeing the club and fans enter the new season with full support from us as a partner sponsor.

"We make the perfect match as we share the same ethics in supporting the community, promoting family values and encouraging sport."

Thorne, whose headquarters recently moved from Old Market to Wine Street, are delighted to be partner sponsors for the next three years.

Director Andrew Thorne said: "We believe that with our support as official partner sponsors, together with the support of others, Bristol Rugby will go from strength to strength.

"We would like to take this opportunity to send our best wishes for the future to all team members and staff, whose commitment and hard work, together with the support of their sponsors, will see Bristol Rugby gain the success they deserve."
