Bristol & West AC's British international Claire Hallissey improved her personal best again to finish fifth overall and top Briton in the 10,000m at the Aviva UK Championships and World trials in Birmingham.

Yate-born Olympian Zoe Derham retained her hammer title and former Bristol & West AC long jumper Amy Woodman finished runner-up .

● Bristol & West's Kate Reed, racing for the first time since the Olympic 10,000m final last year, won the Great North 10k, in Sunderland, in a time of 33mins 22secs.

● Bristol & West AC's Jon Wills won the 5,000m at the Welsh Championships. producing a 61-seconds last lap for victory in 14mins 23secs.

Sean Hazell carved six seconds off his personal best with a time of 1mins 58.1secs for the 800m in Sunday's Avon League meeting at Yate.
