Suspected Bristol drug dealers to face trial

Two Bristol men charged with possessing more than 1,500 grams of cannabis with intent to supply were sent to the Crown Court for trial yesterday.

Ian Whittle, of Bishopsworth, and Alan Tolliver, of Hartcliffe, have been charged with having in their possession 1,613.11 grams of the class-B drug with intent to supply.

Bristol Magistrates' Court heard yesterday that the pair were arrested in Hartcliffe on May 28.

Whittle, 39, of Queens Road, is also charged with producing 1,218.06 grams of cannabis in Bishopsworth.

Neither man has entered a plea to the charges.

Whittle was granted unconditional bail to appear at Bristol Crown Court on December 4.

Tolliver, 28, of Crosscombe Drive, was also granted unconditional bail to appear on the same date.
