Ben Payne became the first Imperial player to claim a double hat-trick for 30 years when the south Bristol side thrashed Keynsham 2nds 53-5 in Somerset One.

Payne's six tries took his total for Imperial to 21 since joining the club from Bristol Harlequins at Christmas.

Imperial's other tries came from Nick Towe, who hopes to be re-elected as captain next season, Lee Foster and James Canfield. Payne's older brother, Dean, kicked four conversions.

Champions St Bernadette's finished off the season in style by routing Wiveliscombe 60-16.

Tries came from Luke Crehan, Ollie James (2), Dan Harris (2), Jake Morse, Neil Roberts, Luke Fraser, Kevin Milkins and Georgio Dimeo. Chris Holley landed five conversions.

Broad Plain lost 35-15 against Nailsea & Backwell, Tom Dingley and Robin Tremlett touching down, with Ollie Nowell landing a conversion and a penalty.

Gordano wrapped up their campaign with a 73-5 win at Old Culverhaysians with the rout beginning after two minutes with an unstoppable run by centre Dean Ashfield.

Other tries followed from Gerry Creber, Jack Hendy (2), Ed Whittaker (2), Ashfield again, Matt Rollings, Jarvis Walters, Tim Coughlan, Kevin Instance, and Jack Thomas. Coughlan landed nine conversions.

In Somerset Premier, Somerset Cup finalists Bristol Harlequins won 20-5 to finish fourth.

Southmead finished their maiden Gloucester Premier campaign in second spot after beating Gloucester Old Boys 24-8.

Tries came from Gary Sposito (2) and Tim Davies. Danny Cotterell hit three conversions and a penalty.

The club are now preparing for a home play-off with Somerset Premier runners-up North Petherton on Saturday (3pm) but, due to league reconstructing and doubts over Manchester and Mounts Bay's, this has not been confirmed by the RFU.

Bristol Saracens won 48-18 against Old Richians thanks to tries from Karl Venn, Ian Werritt (2), David Wright, Ed Cribbs (2), and Simon Wright-Hider. Werritt and Wright hit two conversions and a penalty respectively.

Strugglers Frampton Cotterell brought their season to a close by claiming a 24-7 victory against Hucclecote. Dean van der Morsner (2), Mike Ashwin, who also landed two conversions, and Mark Smith crossed the whitewash.

Old Colstonians, recently crowned Charles Saunders Combination Vase winners, comprehensively beat Whitehall 47-13 with Kai Daniel scoring two tries and six conversions.

In Gloucester One, fourth-placed Old Bristolians routed strugglers Ashley Down Old Boys 58-14.

Tries came from Steve Foster (3), Adam Thackwray, Lyndon Davies, Mike Barton, Nick Cussen, Jonny Biggins and Liam de Glanville.

Jon Martin kicked a penalty in Bishopston's 24-3 loss to Cheltenham Civil Service.

Aretians finished second from bottom after the basement side Painswick awarded the Little Stoke club a walkover.

In Gloucester Two, James Gross grabbed five tries in Old Elizabethans' 90-3 victory against Cainscross.

Kingswood were handed a walkover after Cheltenham Saracens called off their match because they could not field a front row.

James Douglas grabbed four tries, while debutant Andy McDonald collected a hat-trick as Gloucester Three champions St Brendan's won 52-12 against Wotton.
