Adie fancies Bath City to win at Grimsby

Bath City go in search of another League scalp in the FA Cup tomorrow, with manager Adie Britton saying he will be "disappointed" if they do not win at Grimsby Town.

All the ingredients are in place for a classic Cup upset, with the managerless Mariners languishing second from bottom of Coca-Cola League Two after winning just once at home all season.

Bath, meanwhile, go into the first-round tie on the back of a five-match unbeaten run and with a full complement of players to choose from for the first time this season.

"We will be going there to win. In our minds, certainly in mine, it will be disappointing if we don't win.

"No disrespect to the opposition, but we have to go into the game with that frame of mind.

"This is the most talented squad we have had in my four years at the club and we have shown we are more than capable of playing good football.

"The thing to be seen is whether we are good enough to be effective against a team from two divisions above us."

Meanwhile, Weston-super-Mare, whose 3-1 home defeat by Bishop's Stortford last Saturday sent them back into the relegation zone, face another tough home clash against third-placed Thurrock in Blue Square South.

"We lost 2-0 at Thurrock earlier in the season but that was a game we should have won," said assistant manager Chris Smith.

Central defender Craig Rand has not trained this week because of 'flu but manager Andy Gurney is hoping he will be fit in time.
