Great little place

“Took my son to the Thornbury Museum a couple of weeks ago. he had a really good time learning about local history I even found myself being drawn into some areas of the museum. the helper at the museum was also very helpful and knew alot about the local area and history.”

so much to see

“Thornbury Museum is a cracking little museum packed with lots of local history, the helper that runs the thornbury museum is also nice and polite as well as having a lot of local knowledge. this is a really good place to take the children. after all how many small towns have their very own museum.”

kids love it!

“my children love going to the thornbury museum, when i first noticed the museum i did not understand what they could possibly have in there. but when we first visited i was amazed at just how much they have on show. i also think it is a very good resorce for the town to have and that more children should use it.”

so good for both children and adults

“I was totally amazed when I first took my child to the Thornbury Museum, from the outside it looks very small but when you go in it really is not that small. the mueeum also hosts so much history both locally and further a field. the lady that helps out at the museum is also very keen on telling you about all the diffrent items on show. it really is a good place to visit.”

thornburys very own museum,

“Thornbury museum located next door to the Armstrong Hall is a fantastic place that hosts so much history, history and information that you would never know about the area! including the discovery of some old roman coins in the town itself! the helpers at the museum also have very good understanding of the area and the areas history”

“if you have children and do not want to travel out of thornbury with the kids then Thornbury museum is a good place to go. its very small but the museum does host a number of items that are well worth looking at. its a half decent place to go and i would recommend it. ”
