Local athletics performance of the week

Anita and Phil Westlake ran in New Zealand last weekend to complete their five half marathons in five continents ambition.

The pair ran the Auckland half marathon in times of 2hrs 13mins 06secs and 2:13.07 respectively having already completed half marathons in Beijing, Marrakech, Paris and Vancouver this year.

The Westlakes are seeking to raise £3,000 for Bristol's St Peter's Hospice charity and for further information and also contribute to the cause see the pair's website at www.justgiving.com/5continents.
