Jacobs rewarded for his consistency

Luke Jacobs' progress this year has been recognised with victory in the Easy Runner athlete of the month competition for October.

"I have been nominated quite a few times, so it is great to win it at last," said Jacobs.

Jacobs impressed the judges after a superb anchor leg for Bristol & West AC Under-15s at the National Young Athletes' Road Relays in Birmingham and he also finished third at the Birmingham Cross-Challenge.

He continued his good form this week by winning the inter boys' race at the North Somerset Schools' Championships.
