Three arrests over tree fires
POLICE have made three arrests after an investigation into a spate of arson attacks on trees.
Trees were set on fire outside three homes overnight between Monday and Tuesday.
There were two fires in Barrs Court and one in Warmley, and two 20-year-old men were arrested at about 1am on Tuesday. An 18-year-old man was arrested later that morning and all three have been bailed.
Officers had stepped up patrols in response to fires in the Barrs Court, Cadbury Heath, Staple Hill and Warmley areas in recent weeks.

At 8pm on Tuesday night there was another suspected arson, of a building at Grimsbury Farm, Kingswood.
Neighbourhood PC Phil Busvine urged anyone with information on the fires to call police on 101.
