FOUR people were arrested when police carried out an operation to tackle drug-dealing and anti-social behaviour in Knowle West.

There were 28 officers and PCSOs involved in the operation on Thursday which aimed to disrupt organised criminal activity and increase community confidence in the police. Three addresses were targeted, with two arrests made for drugs offences and two for assaults on police officers. Drugs were seized and a dangerous dog was removed from one home.

PC Chris Downham, who led the operation, said: "We ran this operation to target individuals who have been causing problems in the area.

"We wanted to send a clear message that the police and local residents won't tolerate drug-dealing or bad behaviour in our communities."
