Three arrests over Stoke Gifford thefts
Three people were arrested for burglary after police received tip-offs from the public.
Two of those arrested were 15-year-old boys, who were stopped in Stoke Gifford after officers were told of youths congregating in a lane on Sunday afternoon. Police arrived and discovered someone had got into a house using a ladder from the garden and had searched the premises, although nothing had been taken. The youths have been bailed pending further inquiries.
And yesterday, in the early hours, patrolling officers were flagged down by a member of the public who had seen a man acting suspiciously at roadworks on the Abbey Wood roundabout, Filton. A portable building had been broken into and police arrested a 23-year-old man at the scene, recovering a camera, memory stick and MP3 player.
A man remains in police custody in connection with the incident.
