Three arrests over Bristol street attack
Three men have been arrested in connection with an attack on a man who was found with head injuries in a Bristol street.
The men, all believed to be local, are aged 24, 25 and 27.
As reported earlier today by the Bristol Post, several roads in the Three Lamps area of Totterdown remain sealed off after the 27-year-old victim was found unconscious in Stanley Street at 6.30am on Tuesday morning.
A passer-by discovered the man and called the emergency services.
He was taken to Bristol Royal Infirmary by ambulance.
Police said his injuries were “life threatening”.
Initially it was thought that the man might have been knocked down by a car.
Officers then established he had been attacked and launched a major investigation.
Forensic experts in white overalls were carrying out a detailed search of the area today.
Officers were also carrying out house to house inquiries.
Anyone who was in the area last night or early today who may have seen something that could help the inquiry is asked to contact police on 0845 4567000.
