Four people have been arrested after cannabis plants were seized during police raids on two houses in Clevedon.

Police swooped at the properties in Hillview Avenue and Old Street yesterday and seized several cannabis plants.

A 38-year-old man and a 47-year-old man were arrested for possession of a class B drug with intent to supply.

Two women, aged 19 and 33, were also arrested for drugs offences.

All four have been released on police bail pending further inquiries.

Sergeant Anthony Coombe said: "These warrants were part of our ongoing commitment to tackling drug-related crime in North Somerset."
