Bristol crafters celebrate success of online shops
MISI (Make It Sell It) is an online craft marketplace. Home crafters use the website www.misi.co.uk to set up their own online shops and sell their creations.
It is the brainchild of crafter, web developer and young mother-of-two Emma Hogg from Clevedon.
Since the launch in October 2008, MISI has grown and today the site has more than 2,000 sellers and generates more than 70,000 visitors a month.
Emma said: "I have always had a great passion for British crafts. We are constantly being told by the likes of Jamie Oliver and Gordon Ramsay to cook homemade and support local British farmers, but why stop at food? Food miles aren't the only miles that matter.
"It gives me a huge buzz to support small craft businesses and watch them turn a passionate hobby into a profitable reality."
The show will be open from 10.30am to 5pm and entry is £2.50 per person, with children under 14 allowed in free.
