Saturday, June 27, 2009, 07:00

Neighbouring pegs 47 and 48 came up with the top two places for Bob Warren and Wayne Garland in the Kingswood Disabled and Over-55s midweek match fished on Withy Pool at Hunstrete.

Warren poled paste hard on the deck at 11 metres for a winning 46-5-0 of mostly carp, while Garland used both pellet and paste to tempt a similar 41-0-0. The heaviest silverfish catch was taken by Brian Waldron, who poled maggot over the same at 10 metres off peg 58 for 13-7-0 of skimmers and roach.

Result: 1, Bob Warren (Bristol PSV) 46-5-0, peg 47; 2, Wayne Garland 41-0-0, peg 48; 3, Eddy Buck 27-12-0, peg 35; 4= Pete Powe, peg 49 & Rodney Buss, peg 44, both 21-0-0; 6, Ted Bethel 16-10-0, peg 68. Silverfish: 1, Brian Waldron 13-7-0, peg 58.
